This super easy vegan chocolate hazelnut mousse recipe has a wonderful flavor and texture. Give it a spin, you won’t be disappointed.
- 2/3 cup (100g) hazelnuts
- 1/3 cup (20g) shredded coconut
- ¾ cup (150g) sugar
- ½ cup (120ml) hot water
- 1 cup (85g) oats
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- chopped hazelnuts for garnish
- shredded coconut to serve as a base
Add the hot water and sugar to your blender and blend in high speed for 3 minutes. Then add the oats, coconut, cinnamon, hazelnuts and blend for 2 more minutes. The times will depend on the power of your blender.
Divide the mousse into serving cups. Pour a base of shredded coconut, top with the hazelnut mousse and garnish with coarsely chopped hazelnuts.

Yum, this looks delicious!
How about chilling it in the refrigerator before serving? Or can’t you wait that long because it’s so tasty?

I’m allergic to hazelnuts, but this still looks good!
What a shame ? you can try with almonds, hazelnuts or pecans 😉
This sounds so delicious! Do you know a great alternative for the coconut though? Love, Kari
Hi Kary, muesli, granola, or even crushed biscuits/cookies will be great alternatives here, they will add a different flavor and texture.
Looks so decadent.
thanks Catheryn, is one of those recipes that when you look at the result, looks more complicated than it is; and more unhealthy than actually is 🙂
