Healthy Raw Vegan nice-cream (Gelado saudável vegano)

Banana, blackberry, raspberry, blackcurrant and redcurrant

Because, the weather is getting warmer, what’s better than an Ice-cream?  a 1-ingredient, creamy, super quick, easy, vegan and guilty-free ice-cream  🙂

  • Ripe bananas (the quantity is up to you)

Peel the bananas and cut them into pieces, and freeze it for at least 3 hours (ideally overnight). Process the frozen bananas until you have a creamy texture.

If you feel creative add some peanut butter, chocolate chips, nuts, cocoa powder, cinnamon, mint leaves, dates, coffee, seeds .. let me know if you have had tried other combinations!!

You can even add other fruits, this time I added Blackberry, Raspberry, Blackcurrant, and Redcurrant to the bananas using the same process, freeze, blend, freeze, eat  😀

Começar por descascar e cortar as bananas às rodelas e congelar por pelo menos 3 horas.

Colocar as bananas congeladas  num processador de alimentos ou num bom liquidificador e triturar na velocidade máxima até que a mistura fique cremosa e suave.

Comer simples ou adicionar novos sabores e/ou frutas, como manteiga de amendoim, pepitas de chocolate, nozes, cacau em pó, canela, folhas de hortelã, tâmaras, café, sementes, morangos, frutos vermelhos etc …

Raw Vegan ice-cream ? sugar and fat free (Gelado cremoso sem açucar ou gordura)

Here’s how to make a delicious raw vegan ice cream.

  • 3 ripe bananas (to be frozen)
  • 2 Tbs date caramel 
  • 1 handful of granola (better if homemade)
  • 1/4 small beetroot

Start by cutting and freezing the banana.

Place the frozen bananas and the beetroot in a powerful blender or a food processor and pulse to combine until the mixture is creamy and smooth.  Add then the caramel and the granola and involve gently.

Feel free to add or swap the ingredients (but not the banana) to put the flavours and fruits you want. The process is always the same and works well with everything 🙂

Vegan banana & fig ice-cream (gelado de banana & figo vegan)

2016-07-13 18.07.48-1.jpgVegan ice-cream sound good, but only with two ingredients sounds even better 😉 this recipe is one of my favorites at the moment, and you will love it to, for sure.

  • 3 ripe bananas – frozen
  • 8 dried figs
  • walnuts finely chopped (optional)

Place the frozen bananas in a powerful blender or a food processor and pulse to combine until the mixture is creamy and smooth.  Add the walnuts and mix.

Serve and enjoy this amazingly healthy and delicious treat!

  • 3 bananas bem maduras – congeladas
  • 8 figos secos
  • nozes partidas ao bocados (optional)

Colocar as bananas congeladas num bom liquidificado ou processador de alimentos e processar até que fique cremoso, adicionar as nozes e envolver.

Servir e desfrutar sem culpa 😉
