This easy garlic and herb vegan cheese has a great texture and cheesy flavor. Perfect to add to a cheese board, to eat on bread, or even with your favorite veggie burgers, either way, you’re going to LoVe it.
- 1/2 cup cashew nuts
- 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp water
- 4 tbsp corn-starch
- 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- mix herbs (dried or fresh)
- olive oil to brush the ramekin
Pour all the ingredients (less the herbs) into a powerful blender. Blend on high speed for about 1 to 3 minutes, until is completely smooth.
Put the liquid into a frying pan over medium heat, and stir constantly, for approximately 5 minutes. When starts to turn into a thick paste and starts to stick together it’s cooked.
Pour the mixture into lightly oiled ramekins and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Remove by turning upside down onto a plate or board. Then sprinkle with some herbs and enjoy!
Store in the fridge.
