Raw Vegan ice-cream ? sugar and fat free (Gelado cremoso sem açucar ou gordura)

IMG_1922

Here’s how to make a delicious raw vegan ice cream.

  • 3 ripe bananas (to be frozen)
  • 2 Tbs date caramel
  • 1 handful of granola (better if homemade)
  • 1/4 small beetroot

Start by cutting and freezing the banana.

Place the frozen bananas and the beetroot in a powerful blender or a food processor and pulse to combine until the mixture is creamy and smooth.  Add then the caramel and the granola and involve gently.

Feel free to add or swap the ingredients (but not the banana) to put the flavours and fruits you want. The process is always the same and works well with everything 🙂

? And that’s it ! Enjoy!

PT:

? bom proveito!

I use the date caramel to do vegan chocolates like twix or snickers, truffles, spread on bread, add to porridge and smoothies, energy bars, cakes/cookies filling, cake topping, bliss balls… all-purpose sweetener… I always have it in my fridge and I just use it in evening ??

a very lovely idea of the vegan ice-cream. This is my common problem when I go out with my family to eat ice-cream. check my slow-simmered squash soup recipe. The best dinner for the family! Namaste.

Oh, I love this idea! I keep thinking that I should make date caramel but haven’t gotten around to it yet. I imagine it would go so well with banana ice cream! What else do you usually use it for? I also bought a pitcher of date molasses at a Persian shop…that might be good, too! Some fun experimenting to come 😀

Oh my goodness, so many incredible ideas! I definitely need to make some of this now! Even just the idea of spreading it on bread…that sounds so good. Now you have me wondering…if you blend some chopped hazelnuts together with the date caramel, would it be sort of like a Nutella spread? I need to try that out!
