Vegan chia mousse with carob powder (mousse vegana de alfarroba)

This delicious vegan chia mousse with carob powder is easy and quick to make and has a very special ingredient – carob powder.

Carob powder (or carob flour), is a cocoa powder alternative, made from dried, roasted carob tree pods. The Carob powder is nutritionally rich and has lots of health benefits.

  • 1/2 cup chia seeds
  • tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1+1/2 cup vegetal milk 
  • 1 tablespoon carob powder 
  • 2 tablespoon any nut butter 
  • 1/4 cup sugar (or any liquid sweetener)

Place the chia seeds in a blender and blend in high-speed until powdered.

Add the other ingredients to the ground chia and blend on high speed until you have a great smooth texture.

Adjust sweetness and texture if needed. Transfer the mousse into serving cups.

Decorate with chopped nut and enjoy.

Store in the fridge in an airtight container up to 4 days.

PT:
  • 1/2 caneca de sementes de chia
  • 1 colher de sopa de cacau em pó
  • 1+1/2 caneca de leite vegetal
  • 1 colher de alfarroba em pó
  • 2 colheres de sopa de uma qualquer manteiga de frutos secos
  • 1/4 caneca de açúcar (ou um qualquer adoçante líquido)

Colocar as sementes de chia num liquidificador e triturar completamente as sementes até que fiquem em pó.

Adicionar todos os ingredientes à chia em pó e triturar tudo no liquidificador até se obter uma textura cremosa.

Ajustar o doce e a textura caso necessário. Colocar a mousse em tacinhas, decorar com nozes picadas e desfrutar.
Dá para guardar no frigorifico por até 4 dia.
